WOLFF Hervé

Curious and keen about information, the role of media and, particularly, the growing importance of the Internet, I managed to combine my personal interests and my professional activities, relating essentially to IT and communications law and intellectual property.

Background
I attended Robert Schuman University of Strasbourg, where I obtained a Masters in Private Law.  I completed my program by doing a Masters in Business Law at the University of Stockholm in Sweden.  This experience was as enriching on a professional and cultural level as on a academic level (the programme was taught with an emphasis on European and International Law).  Finally, I specialised with a Masters in Multimedia Law and Computer Systems, in Strasbourg, which naturally led me to join the team at LG@vocats.

Day-to-day
I am mostly involved in IT and communications law, intellectual property law, copyrights (e.g. drafting memos on copyright issues regarding audio and video contents posted on Internet sites), trademarks and domain names (e.g. registration of brands and domain names, opposition of infringing brands, drafting of trademark licence or transfer contracts), design and model law (e.g. memo on protection against infringement) data protection (advice on regulatory constraints that companies must comply with), computer law (drafting of software development or licence contracts).

Bar
Admitted to Luxembourg Bar.

Publications

After Hours
Apart from Internet and media in general, music (rock) takes up a lot of my free time, I play guitar and go to concerts as often as possible : Bob Dylan, Belle & Sebastian, The Strokes, Herman Dune…….
